The Tenth Annual Summer Concert Series is scheduled for Thursday, June 29, July 27, and August 24, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Coppin State University's campus, in the new location of the South Quad (near parking lot C) ), between the Science & Technology Center (STC) and the Health and Human Services Building (HHSB). If you would like to be a vendor at this year's Summer Concert Series, please complete the application and return it with your payment no later than one week before the concert date(s).

VENDOR TERMS

Use of Space: No vendor shall sublet, assign, or share any part of the space allocated to him/her without consent of Coppin State University Division of Institutional Advancement. Solicitations or demonstrations by vendors must be confined within the bounds of their respective vendor area. Aisle space should not be used for vending purposes, displaying signs, solicitation, or distribution of promotional materials for vending purposes.

Appearance of Vendor Table Space: Vendor table presentations should not obstruct the general view, nor hide the tables of other vendors. Vendor presentation and table must lend itself to an attractive appearance. Institutional Advancement reserves the right to cancel any vendor table that does not lend itself to a standard suitable for the event. This reservation includes persons, things, conduct, printed matter, or anything of a character determined objectionable or does not conform to university standards. If there is such restriction or eviction, Coppin State University is not liable for any refund or other vendor expenses. Tables and chairs are not provided. Please bring all necessary supplies. 

Sales: Vendors are permitted to make sales in the assigned vendor area. Obtaining the appropriate licenses/permits, as required by law, collecting and remitting sales taxes and any other legal business requirements are solely the responsibility of the Vendor.

Damage to Facilities: The Vendor must surrender space occupied by him/her in the same condition as when space was initially assigned. The Vendor or agent shall not injure or deface the walls, columns, floors, or sidewalks of the facility, the table, equipment or furniture provided. When such damage appears, the Vendor shall be liable to the owners of the property so damaged.

Storage: All goods are stored at the vendor's risk. Coppin State University shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, theft, destruction, including, not by way of limitation, damage from atmospheric conditions or rust, negligence (whether caused by ourselves, our agents, employees or other) failure to act, breach of contract, breach of warranty, water, condensation, fire, floods, acts of God, or any act beyond our control.

Cancellation of Summer Concert Series: If fire strike or other circumstances beyond the control of Coppin State University cause the Summer Concert Series to be canceled, a full refund of Vendor table/space fees will be made.

Cancellation of Contract by Vendor: No refunds will be given.

Failure to Occupy Space: Space not occupied by 7:00 p.m. will be forfeited by the Vendor. This space may be reassigned or used by the university. No refunds will be given.

Responsibility of Coppin State University: Vendor assumes full responsibility and hereby agrees to protect, indemnify, defend and hold Coppin State University harmless against all claims. In addition, Vendor acknowledges that Coppin State University does not maintain insurance covering Vendor's property and that it is the sole responsibility of the Vendor to obtain business interruption and property damage insurance covering such losses by the Vendor.

Routine Security is Provided. Vendors take sole responsibility for securing their possessions before, during, and after the Summer Concert.

RAIN POLICY

The Coppin State University Summer Concert Series is an outdoor event. Thus, weather plays an active role. In the event the concert is moved indoors to a rain location, and you have selected and paid for a date that is affected by inclement weather, the vendor fee for that date will be refunded. Inclement weather cancellation decisions will be made by 11:59 p.m. the day before each concert date. Vendors will be notified by email. No immediate on-site refunds will be available. Refunds will be mailed within three weeks from the event date.

 

The Coppin State University Development Foundation, Inc. (CSUDF) is a 501 (c) (3) organization and is a separate entity from Coppin State University. The CSUDF will serve as the repository for funds received for this program.
